This year’s Jack Petchey’s “Speak Out” Challenge! Grand Final will be held from 6.00pm – 9.00pm on Monday 1st July at the Queen Elizabeth Hall.

Now in its eighth year, Jack Petchey’s “Speak Out” Challenge! is the biggest youth speaking event of its kind in the world. This year we have trained well in excess of 17,000 young people, giving them the confidence, capability and courage to stand and speak in front of an audience.

At the end of each workshop, each student speaks for up to 3 minutes on a topic of their choice. Representatives from each school compete in 37 Regional Finals across London and Essex.

Of those 37 Regional Finalists, our panel of adjudicators will select 15 speakers from our 37 Regional Champions. Those 15 will “Speak Out” in front of an audience of 900 at the Grand Final.

We have a wonderful line up of talented and inspirational judges from all walks of life – they will then have the very tricky job of picking an overall “Speak Out” Challenge! Champion for 2013.

The winner will win a prize valued at £5000, of which £3000 goes to their school. Check the tabs on the left for recent updates on our selected speakers and Grand Final judges.

Our fantastic team of Speakers Trust associates and staff have worked tirelessly throughout the year to train and support every competitor in Jack Petchey’s “Speak Out” Challenge!
